DIY ported subwoofer

Subwoofer port (ported subwoofer)

In this article you can learn how to make ported subwoofer.(vented subwoofer)

This is 3rd (last) post.to read about how to make subwoofer box go to 2st post

Subwoofers have in three types

  1. Ported (vented)
  2. Sealed
  3. Bandpass

you have to use long port  like 5 inch or more to get good clean and deep bass.but longer doesn't give best sound. 5-10 inches is enough.
you can use a PVC for this if can't find a long port in the market.

If your subwoofer box doesn't have enough space, you can redirect PVC using an PVC elbow

Note: when you add PVC  pipe to port you have to fix it using a good glue.because if it not fit it will make a vibrating sound inside the sub woofer box
find longest area in the subwoofer box and try to use a port without u turn or elbow. because it save your time. you can see some subwoofer builders use very long subwoofer port with lots of u turns and/or elbows for there subwoofers. but it's not important. 5-10 inch long port is really enough for deep bass.
now all done.now you have to install sub speaker (woofer) and play music with a subwoofer amplifier and a player
if you still need to help to make a amplifier. see my next post about amplifier. i will upload soon.
thank you
